Tips for meal times

Try these meal time tips to help you eat less:

 

1. Set specific times aside for meals

Eating while reading or watching television may lead to over-eating as the stimulus can create a distraction from the process of eating.

 

2. Choose smaller plates and bowls

This helps to make a meal look bigger and helps to reduce serving size.

 

 

3. Chew food thoroughly

This extends the eating time and helps reduce over-eating.

 

 

4. Leave the dining area once finished eating.

When finished, wash the plate immediately or remove it from sight and leave the dining area.
